Self-Examining Authority

At Oklahoma Aviation, we are proud to offer a unique advantage that sets us apart from nearly every other flight school in Oklahoma City—our Chief Flight Instructor is a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and can conduct single-engine check rides in-house. This means our students don’t have to endure the long wait times and scheduling difficulties that many others face when trying to book a check ride. 

As a Part 141 flight school with examining authority, we are one of two non-university Flight Schools in the state of Oklahoma offering this level of convenience and efficiency. While students at other schools may wait weeks or even months to find an available DPE, our students typically wait no more than a few days to a week to complete their check ride.
